The Sea to Summit Adaptor is a versatile, stretchy sleeping liner that adds comfort and personal hygiene to sleeping bags or hotels. Suitable for a variety of temperatures and humidity, the Coolmax fabric is moisture-wicking and comfortable. The liner can be used on its own to avoid overheating on muggy nights or as part of a paired sleep system for greater warmth. Available in two shapes – a tapered mummy design compatible with most sleeping bags or, for an unfamiliar bed, a traditional rectangular shape with a pillow insert. Available with optional Insect Shield permethrin treatment. Easy to clean, the Adaptor travel liner is machine washable and dries quickly in the air. Includes stuff sack for compact storage. Mummy (sleeping bag) version is 82 x 36-inches (at maximum width) and weighs 8.7oz. Traveler (rectangular) version is 85 x 36-inches and weighs 11.6oz.

I decided to buy this at the last minute before my first backpacking adventure in June, where temps in the redwoods were around 45-50 at night. I had read about the benefits of a sleeping sheet - keeps your sleeping bag clean longer, and added comfort. I haven’t tried other brands but this one is perfect for my needs. It’s a little odd at first to get into since it’s just open on one side, and it was paired with the Nemo Forte 20 degree (not quite as mummy as others but still a cocoon). It worked well in combination with the bag and was super helpful to have a light but comfy layer when I got too hot in the night. Unzipped the bag but still felt protected and warm enough. I love the fabric - soft and stretchy lightweight jersey that doesn’t fight when you are rolling around (which I do a lot). My next trip will be late summer and presumably a lot warmer, so I’m taking this with a down blanket vs sleeping bag.
