I ordered this as a beach bag for a family of 5. It has enough inside space for our towels and snacks. Outside pockets fit water bottles and sunscreen. Zippered pockets are perfect for personal items. Top zips shut and has a drawstring closure. Extra clips on the outside allow for hats or random extras.The straps aren't the most comfortable, but manageable. If they were padded, it would be a 5/5.The fabric doesn't seem the strongest, so durability it still TBD, but for the cost, it's worth the risk.I purchased this as duffel to take on a schooner trip with clothing for 2 weeks. This included warm clothing and extra shoes. It was great. It is capacious, almost to a fault. I really liked the small zippered areas for important items. The only issue is that when you fill it, the bag becomes very heavy. I also took it on the plane when it was not as filled and it worked well as a carryon and no one said it was too large. If you want something that will hold ALOT and you don't have to carry it far, this is for you.This bag is huge! I never came close to filling it to capacity. However it already ripped around the drawstring after only a couple of uses because the fabric around the drawstring is not very strong. The side pockets are big enough for two water bottles each, but the straps to hold things in the side pockets are not attached to the actual pockets, so the pocket is not great at holding things in.So far I've used this to haul my kid's swim lesson stuff, her winter gear (boots, coat, snowpants, hat, mittens) to daycare, and some shopping returns. It's worked well for each of those uses. I WISH that it had a "wet items" pocket somewhere inside for swimsuit/towel/wet clothes - but despite that, it's a completely useable bag in all other ways.It does zip AND have a drawstring. An interesting use I've found for that fact is that you can/could use the bag for rollerskates or ice skates and place a child's helmet on top of the closed zipper, and still cinch the drawstring around the helmet to secure it. I'd assume that would work for any smallish items as the drawstring closes pretty tightly.The side pockets are massive.It would be great for a boat bag (towels, suits, changes of clothes, etc) so long as you had a separate bag to place wet towels & suits inside of this (or didn't care if your wet towel/suit was in the main compartment with the other things there). The main compartment is all just one big thing with no additional inside pockets. I will be trying it for this use once the weather warms up again.If I could change one thing about this, it would be some inner pockets, to include as stated above, a wet item pocket somewhere.Recently used this back as my carry on for flight and cruise. It held a lot of stuff and was great. Only down fall like others stated. Straps are not padded and one of the compartments started ripping due to top much weight.But all in all great back just back light.It's a great bag. The only thing I was questioning is that the color is different from what you showed to me as a customer. I just expected to get what I saw. Not complaining. Just an observation.Bigger than I was expecting but perfect for my purposes. I use it to carry my work clothes in and its great. Also the fact that it converts to a backpack for when it gets heavy is a great feature. There's also lots of pockets and some are zippered.Awesome bag, can fit +,+,+ stuff in it. The quality feels very durable. And the look of it isn’t to bad. I quit like this bag. Pricing is terrific as well.très pratique pour le bateau
